Introducing Audrey! And enter to win!

Coming out today at pcLayers! Here's the link! I couldn't resist getting the previews going. It's styled after the timeless elegance of Audrey Hepburn, and would be perfect for any Valentine's Day scrapbooking you have coming up, but it's not necessarily a "Valentine's" kit. You can use this one all year round! It's full of all kinds of fun things, there's 25 accents total tucked into this kit (and that's just the accents!), with some great folded ribbons, a little ripped cardboard, an embroidered frame, buttons, flowers (gerbers), glitter monograms and alphabets, paper flowers, you name it! I went all out. I love getting tons of pretty new scrap stuff. What can I say? I just couldn't help it. :)

Oh wait! And there's a fun freebie too! It's a free 4x6 inch Quick Page card, be sure to check back later this week for some cute freebie Valentine's Day add on brushes! And I've also heard rumors of another pcLayers design team scavenger hunt! I'll let you know the details as soon as I get them.

OH! And also, let's start the drawing for a free kit! Leave me a comment right here on the blog with your favorite original Vday date or gift. Or if you don't have a favorite, make up what you'd love for someone to do for you! Dream dates are always fun. I'll tell you mine.... Two years ago dh came over to my house on Vday and emptied out his pockets. He had bags and bags of candy stuffed in. Then came out a teeny tiny charm in the shape of a frame with an equally teeny tiny self portrait of my favorite valentine drawn in pencil and framed in the itty bitty frame. Too cute! I'll have to post a pic. And also a second charm that said "I (heart) DM." And then a third charm that said "I (heart) NM." He had purchased a four charm pack. I wonder what he did with the fourth charm....... interesting question! I wear the portrait sometimes on a thin bright green ribbon as a choker.

We'll accept all comments from now until midnight MST thursday. I'll announce the winner on Friday morning (um but not too early, ok?). And if you already own the Audrey kit by then, (don't hesitate to pick this one up; it's got tons of great stuff!) I will give you pcPurse money for pcLayers instead!

Hey! Comment #9 "anonymous" with the 2ct emerald ring! You won the drawing by the random number generator! Contact me at nataliemalan(at)gmail(dot)com to claim your prize!!! Congratulations!

How fun to be the first comment :) Though that means I prob. won't win but that's okay. Your stuff looks great Natalie!!

I think you should post some pics of your house soon too - how is your studio coming along?

Sorry, I'm not good at following directions. My favorite Valentine's date wasn't very classy, but in our first year of marriage we celebrated Valentine's Day the frugal way and had a fun evening at home eating spaghetti and garlic bread in front of our fireplace. So cozy!

My husband and I don't have traditional Valentine's day celebrations, mainly because we do things for each other throughout the year. My favorite thing to do on Valentine's Day, however, is to block the day for him to allow me to take as many photographs of him as I want ... and then we go to dinner where HE wants. It takes awhile to get him to relax enough to not appear to be wary of the camera, but when I get THAT LOOK in his eyes, and capture it on film (yes, FILM) it makes my day ... and I have it all year as a reminder of how much we love each other. Not very exciting to most people, but it's not about the things for us. It's about togetherness. Melanie http://mmdcreations.blogspot.com/

PS Looking forward to buying the Audrey kit -- she's a classic, and I'm certain the kit will represent her well.

Years ago when my son was in college he sent lavendar roses (my favorite) to me at my office. They were beautiful. My boss ask if I sent them to myself. Hey, he really did.

I got your quick pages and they are gorgeous.

Not being a sentimental kind of person, I always insist an evening out for a good meal would mean everything. But 4 years ago, my friend sent me a beautiful bouquet of yellow roses on Vday - I was in Singapore at the time working, and he was in IndoChina somewhere. It was a really wonderful surprise.

Thanks for taking time to post freebies for us to enjoy!

My favorite Valentines Day 2 yrs ago... when I got home DH had a beautiful boquet of red roses sitting on the table for me...I noticed long orange spikes in the arrangement... they were the aloe vera spikes I had admired in the yard... and then I notice the arrangement was in a mason jar... he said he couldn't find a vase...which meant he arranged the flowers in the jar... he said the mason jar was the perfect vase for a country boy like him... It made me love the thought, time and effort he took to make something special for me... memories!!

My husband surprised me with a new 2 carat emerald ring with diamonds all the way around the emerald. Talk about being surprised!!! He is a jewel himself. He knew I wanted a new emerald ring. Oh, and just to go along with it he also gave me a diamond and emerald bracelet (most beautiful one I have ever seen). I'll take a Valentine like that any time of the year.

mine would have to be my present in 1998. That's the year my hubby gave me my engagement ring.

My favorite Valentine's gift was a gift from my DH and girls. They gave me a beautiful silver charm that says WE lOVe mom. It was something I hadn't picked out and I was surprised.

My favorite Valentine now was getting a card from my granddaughter, only 7 months old, last year addressed to Grandma...obviously her mother 'helped' her create it, which included a very cute scrapped pic, but it filled my heart up...
And PS the Audrey kit is lovely!

Before we were married, my husband took me to a Build-a-Bear store and let me build my own bear!! It was a total surprise and somewhat out of character for him as he's a low-key, shy kind of guy. Build-a-Bear is not for the faint of heart! =) Anyhow, we built the cutest bear and named her Melanie. He insisted we deck her out in every possible item & accessory - even down to the cute little 'victoria secret-like' cotton panties! We even got a tiny stuffed poodle to put in her backpack, so she wouldn't be lonely. ;-)

The funniest part (and this is totally how we are) was when we picked out the sound-box before the bear was 'stuffed'. They sell animals besides bears, so we picked the kitty 'meow' to go with our bear. The employee/bear stuffer looked at us like we were insane. =) Perhaps, but to this day we always have a good laugh over our 'meowing' bear. =)

Natalie - those sneek peaks of your new alphas are amazing - both so so pretty. Hmmm...my fav. Val's present...not going to beat out your dh's! LOL It's been 23 years w/my dh and my fav. gift has to be when he cooks for me on Val. Day. I usually request the same thing: Pears Helene from The Bakery cookbook for dessert (a slightly stuffed poached pear on a bed of creme anglais with a homemade bitter chocolate sauce - OMG), and I don't really care what else I eat for dinner! But it's usually good. And always a dozen roses in varied pinks. TY for helping me remember this 'cause I just mentioned it to him!

And thanks for a chance on the contest - I just linked you in my blog! xo

Thanks for the gift, it's lovely :)
As for Valentines', DH and I don't really celebrate that so we didn't plan anything great, but an unforgetable present was a framed fabric rose back in 1995... we agreed not to do anything for that Valentines but he prepared something for me ;)
